Goessel golfers win regionals

The Goessel High School golf team claimed the title of the Class 1A regional tournament Monday at the Kinsley Country Club.

Goessel won the regional by one stroke, 382-383.

Goessel claimed three medals — Cameron Voth in second at 91, Nathan Ensz in third at 91 and Tyler Schmidt in seventh at 94.

Derek Brown shot a 106, followed by Hayden Goertzen at 108 and Jake Schrag at 109.

Goessel will compete at the state tournament Monday at the Dodge City Country Club.
