Bluejay men drop season opener to Peru State

PERU, Neb. — The Tabor College men’s basketball team dropped its season opener to Peru State Saturday in Peru.
The Bluejays trailed 33-30 at the half.
Steven Burks led Peru State, 2-3, with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Evan Williams, Adam Blaylock and Marshall Kelly scored 10 points each.
Micah Hiett led Tabor with 12 points, followed by Ryan Chippeaux with 11 points and Dan Hann with 10 points.
Tabor hosts Doane at 7 p.m. today.
