Two Bethel College students received honors from the Kansas Athletic Trainers Society.
The KATS awards first-team, second-team and honorable mention all-academic honors “to undergraduate students in athletic training who have distinguished themselves through outstanding academic achievement in an accredited athletic training education program (ATEP) in the state of Kansas.”Kari Thimm of Beatrice, Neb., was one of 10 named to the first team. Thimm is a member of the volleyball team at Bethel.Emily Kliewer was named to the second team. She is a member of the women’s soccer team.Both students recently completed their junior year.First-team honorees “must be full-time students, junior or older, with a minimum GPA of 3.8 for the school year and a clinical performance of 4/5 from their ATEP director.”Second team honorees must be juniors or older with a GPA of 3.6 and a clinical performance rating of 4/5.Doug Maury is Bethel’s ATEP director.
