Hesston women edged by Sterling

The Hesston College women’s basketball team fell to the Sterling College junior varsity 66-63 Monday night at Yost Center in Hesston.

The game was tied 32-32 at the half. Sterling shot 40 percent from the field, while Hesston was 31.5 percent.

Katie McGrath led Sterling with 20 points and 17 rebounds. Emily Borst scored 16.

Mishaun Pfannenstiel scored 21 points for Hesston. Mallory Schroeder added 13 points.

Saturday, Hesston fell to North Central Missouri College 78-59 in Trenton, Mo., scoring details of the game were not reported.

Hesston is 13-12 and hosts the Central Christian College junior varsity at 6 p.m. Thursday at Yost Center.
