Newton baseball regional pairings made

The Newton High School baseball team opens Class 5A regional play at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday against Salina Central in Great Bend.

Newton is 9-11 while Central is 10-10. The winner meets the Great Bend-Topeka West winner at 7 p.m. in the finals.
