The Hesston College women’s basketball team edged Brown Mackie College 72-71 Wednesday in NJCAA Division II, Region VI play in Hesston.
The Larks trailed 41-34 at the half, rallying in the second half to claim the win.
Mishaun Pfannenstiel scored 25 points for the Larks, hitting 14 of 18 free throws. Destiva Davis added 15 points.
Kenyona Simmons led Brown Mackie with 22 points and 10 rebounds. Kayla Mollere scored 17 points with 13 rebounds.
Brown Mackie falls to 15-10, 0-5 in Region VI play. Hesston is 11-10, 1-4 in Region VI play.
Hesston plays at 2 p.m. Saturday at Southeast (Neb.) Community College in Beatrice.
