GREELEY, Colo. — Hesston High School senior Kailey Jo Ince signed a letter of intent Wednesday to play volleyball at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

Ince is a 6-foot-1 outside hitter for the Swathers. She was an All-Central Kansas League and Class 3A All-State and All-State Tournament team selection.

As a senior, Ince had 551 kills, 41 aces, 27 downed blocks and 289 digs.

She led Hesston to a third-place finish at the Class 3A state tournament as a senior, a second-place finish as a junior, a third-place finish as a sophomore and a state berth as a freshman.

She was the Kansas Volleyball Association Class 3A Player of the Year as a junior and a second-team All-State pick as a sophomore.

She was a MaxPreps Small-School Prep All-American as a junior.

Northern Colorado is an NCAA Division I school that competes in the Big Sky Conference in volleyball.

The Bears are currently 13-14, 6-8 in Big Sky play. The team has 19 NCAA Tournament appearances, the last in 2014. The team is coached by Lyndsey Oates.
