Class 3A, District 11
Haven (2-4) at Halstead (2-4)
Despite both teams having ugly records this year, the winner of this game stands a fighting chance for a playoff berth.
Halstead fell to unbeaten Pratt 39-30 last week, while Haven edged Hillsboro 14-13.
Halstead’s Dalton Kraus has hit 44 of 64 passes for 730 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also has 57 carries for 397 yards and five touchdowns. Aric Propst has 266 yards rushing with five touchdowns, followed by Scott Grider with 232 yards and six touchdowns and Kaden Kraus with 231 yards. Noah Mendez has 14 catches for 361 yards and six touchdowns.
For Haven, Thane Unruh has 97 carries for 611 yards and six touchdowns and hit 16 of 38 passes for 143 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Haxton Smith has 14 catches for 190 yards with two touchdowns.
Class 3A, District 12
Hesston (3-3) at Hillsboro (1-5)
Hesston got back to .500 and stopped a two-game skid with a 30-14 win at Kingman. Hillsboro was stopped by Haven on the road 14-13.
Both teams have upper-division Heart of America League foes for district play following this game, so this is probably a must-win to maintain playoff hopes.
Hesston’s Cameron Cox has hit 83 of 143 passes for 993 yards with eight touchdowns and nine interceptions. Cox also has 95 carries for 395 yards and four touchdowns. Parker Roth has 102 carries for 911 yards and 12 touchdowns. Reese Nebel has 41 catches for 560 yards and six touchdowns.
For Hillsboro, Kaden Kleiner has hit 53 of 110 passes for 723 yards with five touchdowns and three interceptions. Kleiner also has 62 carries for 284 yards and four touchdowns. Jacob Funk has 30 carries for 437 yards and five touchdowns.
Heart of America
Class 2-1A, District 5
Moundridge (2-4) at Sedgwick (2-4)
This is a clash of the top two teams in the district standings. Moundridge topped Inman in a rivalry game last week 44-8 to improve to 2-0 in district play. Sedgwick opened district play with a 58-7 win at Medicine Lodge.
Moundridge’s Jerod Kaufman has 109 carries for 561 yards and five touchdowns. Mason Dyck has hit 51 of 102 passes for 719 yards with five touchdowns and five interceptions. Dyck also has 61 carries for 234 yards and two touchdowns. Noah Eichelberger has 30 catches for 539 yards and five touchdowns.
Remington (0-6) at Inman (0-6)
Both teams have a chance to get back in the district race with this game, as well as claim the first win of the season.
Remington lost to Meade 36-14 last week on the road in a non-league, non-district game. Inman fell to Moundridge 44-8.
Eight-Man I, District 2
Udall (2-4) at Peabody-Burns (2-4)
Peabody-Burns had a two-game winning streak snapped with a 52-6 loss to Oxford. Udall fell to Central of Burden 32-30.
Peabody-Burns’ Bryant Young has hit 31 of 75 passes for 528 yards with seven touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jess Philpott has 100 carries for 510 yards and eight touchdowns. Rocco Weerts has 14 catches for 290 yards and two touchdowns.
Udall freshman Dylan Bishop has 88 carries for 574 yards and 11 touchdowns. Joshua Fielder has hit three of 17 passes for 109 yards with a touchdown and an interception. He also has 68 carries for 312 yards and six touchdowns. Kermit Fielder has three catches for 113 yards and a touchdown.
Eight-Man I, District 5
Goessel (1-5) at St. John-Hudson (2-4)
Goessel got back in the swing of things with a 72-38 win over Ellinwood to snap a seven-game losing streak. St. John-Hudson lost to Canton-Galva 66-32.
Goessel’s Luke Wiens has hit six of six passes for 56 yards and two touchdowns in the past two games. He has 13 carries for 151 yards and a touchdown, 163 yards last week. Zach Zogleman has 105 carries for 548 yards and seven touchdowns. Jordan Griffin has 16 catches for 285 yards and five touchdowns and 38 total tackles. Carson Sterk also has 38 total tackles.

Eight-Man II, District 2
Norwich (2-4) at Burrton (1-5)
Burrton fell to South Haven 48-32 last week, while Norwich fell to unbeaten Hutchinson Central Christian 60-6.
