Bethel College announced the 2017 signing class for the men's soccer team.

There are 13 new players for the upcoming season. Six are graduating high school players, four are junior college players and three are international players.

Four are native Kansans, including a pair of Newton High School grads — Carlos Cornejo and Caden Runyan.

Other Kansas high school products include Enrique Trujillo of Andover and Samuel Ishimwe of Wichita East.

Junior college transfers include Mario Cruz and Marcus Aragon, both of Victor Valley College in California; David Fuentes of Garden City Community College and Lucas Braga of Cloud County Community College.

Internationals signed include Jonas Tingberg and Philip Juhlin, both of Gothenburg, Sweden; and Conor Shiel of Bexleyheath, England.

Bethel opens the season Aug. 26 at Saint Gregory’s in Shawnee, Okla.
