Mitchem named scholarship finalist

SEDGWICK —

A senior at Sedgwick High School was named as a Samsung American Legion Scholarship National Finalist. John Raymond Mitchem was selected by the staff of The American Legion Kansas Boys State which was held at Kansas State University in Manhattan on June 1 through June 7.

The American Red Cross is teaming up with 3M and Roush Fenway Racing to launch Red Cross Racing, a campaign to engage NASCAR fans as blood donors and to raise awareness about the ongoing need for blood. Every two seconds, someone in America needs blood and the need is especially great during the summer months.
