- Friday Night Live is a concert series at Norm's Coffee Bar, 125 W. Sixth, designed to bring independent artists to downtown Newton. Nov. 2 the series will feature Kathryn King. Kathryn King (better known as ?Kat King?) is an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Osage City. She is a senior in high school and plays guitar, piano, and the drums. King is currently finishing up a thirteen song CD titled ?Crossroad.? All of the FNL concerts start at 8 p.m. The FNL series will continue with J.R. Byrd at 8 p.m. Nov. 9 and Sarah Lindsted at 8 p.m. Nov. 16.
