Newton Ministerial Alliance sets event

The Newton Ministerial Alliance is set to kick off its 2010-2011 season with a get-acquainted, “Welcome to Ministry in Newton” brown bag gathering at noon Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church, 900 Columbus Ave. in Newton.
All area pastors and clergy — active or retired— as well as representatives of ministry-related organizations are invited.
Newton Ministerial Alliance’s goal is to promote positive relationships and impact the community through shared ministry in the name of Jesus Christ.  
Serving on the alliance’s executive committee this year are president Dave Reimer, with Grace Community; president-elect Tim Mace, from Koerner Heights Church; treasurer Laura Snyder, with Church of the Brethren; and secretary Steve Friesen, from Grace Community.
