• First Presbyterian Church ladies will travel to Kansas City for an annual shopping trip. The women will depart from the church at 7 a.m. to spend the day in Kansas City, returning after 10 p.m. Call Beth Darrow at 283-6720 if you interested in going.Sunday • Koerner Heights Church, 320 N. Meridian will have a time of celebration and giving thanks to God at 10 a.m. This a special time set aside at Koerner Heights for giving toward missionaries and ministries. “The Book of Job” will be featured. Guest artist Dr. Tim Mace will be speaking. Following the morning service, a meal will be served. Call 283-5696 for more information.• First Presbyterian Church will provide a nursery for all morning services. They will have Sunday school classes for all ages from 9:15 to 10:10 a.m. Sunday. A nursery is available. Fellowship time will be from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. in the narthex. At 10:30 a.m. will be the worship service in the sanctuary with a dedication of the Presbyterian Women. Marsha Stonyer, executive director of the Wichita Union Rescue Mission, will deliver the message. Women of the church will conduct the service and serve as ushers and greeters. Special music will be provided by the chancel choir. A congregational meeting will follow immediately after the worship service for election of officers and consideration of a church governance question. At noon, there will be a covered dish lunch in the Fellowship Hall.• First Presbyterian Church middle school youth will meet from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. High school youth will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Both groups will meet from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for the Amazing Bible Race.• The First Presbyterian Church Cruisers Club will meet at 7 p.m. in the Presbyterian Manor apartments, 1200 E. Broadway, in the dining room. The program will be given by Richard Heim, administrator of the manor, commemorating the 60th anniversary of Newton Presbyterian Manor. Monday• Zion Lutheran Church Lydia Circle members will meet at 7 p.m. at the home of Marsha Thiesen. Jacquie Oswald will have topic. • Boy Scout Troop No. 123 will meet at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.Tuesday• First Presbyterian Church middle and high school youth will meet at 7 a.m. at Druber’s for devotions and doughnuts.• First Presbyterian Church memorial committee will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the church.• First Presbyterian Church building and grounds committee will meet at 7 p.m. at the church.Wednesday• Zion Lutheran Church Dorcas Circle members will meet at 9:30 a.m. at Zion.
