Pohl awarded
scholarship for
ministry program
MOUNDRIDGE — The Swiss Mennonite Cultural and Historical Association scholarship committee awarded a $250 grant to Sarah Pohl, a member of First Mennonite Church of Christian in Moundridge.
Pohl, a sophomore at Bethel College in North Newton, is participating in a 10-week ministry inquiry program in Reedley, Calif.
The program is designed for exploration of Christian Ministry. Scholarship applications will again be accepted in July 20, 2011.

Weekday Bible School begins soon for USD 373
Weekday Bible School will begin Sept. 13 for first- through fourth-graders at Sunset and Northridge Elementary schools.
It will start Sept. 14 for the same grades at Walton 21st Century Rural Life Center, Slate Creek and Northridge elementary schools, and Sept. 15 for fifth- and sixth-graders at Santa Fe 5th/6th Center.
