NEWTON —

Saturday

• There will be a patriotic music concert dress rehearsal at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church.

Sunday

• There will be a flag raising ceremony on the west lawn of First Presbyterian Church before the patriotic musical performance. The community is invited. The concert will be at 4 p.m. in the sanctuary followed by refreshments in Fellowship Hall.

• The First Presbyterian Church high school youth will meet at 5:30 p.m. Sunday at the church for a movie.

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will have Holy Communion and a sermon at 10:15 a.m. Sunday at the church. There will be acolyte training after the coffee hour.

• First Presbyterian Church will have Sunday school classes for adults only from 9:15 to 10:10 a.m. in the parlor, chapel and Fellowship Hall. A nursery is available. Fellowship time will be from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. in the narthex.

Sunday worship service will be at 10:30 a.m.

Tuesday

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church Payee Program will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church.
