The Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Trinity Heights United Methodist Church, 1200 Boyd Ave. An old-fashioned Thanksgiving meal will be served. For transportation or to have a meal delivered, call 283-6410 after 10 a.m. Thursday. The meal is sponsored by First Missionary Church, First Baptist Church, Salem United Methodist Church and Trinity Heights. Area businesses also have donated to the dinner, which is free and open to the public.
The dinner rotates among the sponsoring churches. Last year more than 600 people were fed through the event.
