Saturday

• First Presbyterian Church’s women will have breakfast at 9 a.m. at The Breadbasket in Newton.

Sunday

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will have Holy Communion and sermon at 10:15 a.m.

• First Presbyterian Church will have fellowship time from 10:10 to 10:30 a.m. in the narthex, followed by worship service at 10:30 a.m.

The middle school youth will leave on an outing with a surprise destination at 11:30 a.m.

From 2 p.m. until dark, the church will have its annual lake party at Harvey County East Lake.

The high school youth will have dinner and a movie at 6 p.m.

• Newton Christian Church, 210 Southport, will have classes for all ages at 9:30 a.m., followed by worship service at 10:30 a.m.

• St. Luke Church’s Pastor Paul Wissink will speak on “The New Resolve” from Nehemiah 9:30-10:39. Pastor Paul will discuss looking at life through God’s perspective. Worship service is at 10 a.m. this summer at St. Luke Church, 808 E. 6th St. in Newton. Childcare and children’s church are available during the service.

Tuesday

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church’s payee program will be available from 9 to 11 a.m.

• First Presbyterian Church’s S.C.O.T.S. group will work on projects at the church.

Wednesday

• St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church will have evening Eucharist at 7 p.m.s
