LETTER: Exercise is answer for parade change

Really? A parade only three blocks long because it would be “too far for entrants to walk?”

I’m not sure it’s worth the cost of supplies for the float or getting up early, dressing and driving into town to see a parade that can’t last more than 15 minutes.

Maybe by next year folks involved can get into shape so they can walk more than a few steps before collapsing.

Are any of the people entered in the 5K the ones who can’t walk more than three blocks? Here’s another idea — why doesn't everyone ride on the float or in cars?
