Caring Hands Humane Society would like to thank the community we serve for the many kind donations this past holiday season!

Businesses, families and individuals all came to help the homeless animals in our care.

Donors and donations ranged from big companies to young children. Beth Ericson delivered a $750 grant from Invisible Fence to better the lives of the animals here at the shelter.

Galen Meyers, Rob Richardson and Harold Irwin from BG Products Inc. brought two big boxes of Christmas presents.

Nicholas Koehn, who just turned 8 years old, asked his friends and families to give presents to the pets here at Caring Hands in lieu of receiving presents himself. Nicholas, who already has rescued a kitty, says he can’t wait till he turns 10. Then he can start volunteering here at the shelter!

So many more kind people came forward to help! Every donation made a difference in the life of an animal.

All of us here at Caring Hands, especially the pets, appreciate the wonderful gifts and support the community has shown. Donations of food, blankets and toys surrounded the tree and almost filled the lobby!

A lot of the animals got more than extra treats and new blankets, though. We had one of our best months yet in December — almost twice as many animals found a home this holiday season as in years past!

Thank you all so very much for your tremendous support this past holiday season! I know, with your help, 2009 can be an even better year for the animals sheltered here at Caring Hands!
