HESSTON —

The word of God states: “Righteousness exalteth the nation; but sin is a reproach to any people” — Prov. 14:34.

The word reproach means scorn, a feeling of derision and disdain. And surely our present president and the U.S. Congress is a reproach.

George Washington said “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.”

Yet herein lays our only hope and salvation.

The word righteousness means doing right, standard of right and justice, to be morally correct and virtuous.

Our great nation was founded upon the Judeo-Christian principles, the Ten Commandments.

And herein lays our only hope and salvation: Is it morally correct to have a U.S. Supreme Court to legalize the killing of 50 million babies?

Is it morally correct to allow the ACLU, a Communist front, to work day and night to remove every Christian symbol and teaching from our entire society?

Is it morally correct to promote the Muslim doctrine and the Shariah law in our educational institutions?

And is it morally correct for the Democrats to push for the passage of the health-care bill in order to fund abortions and control our medical care?
