3. Fair’s ‘Fashion Revue’
deserves our support
Attend the Harvey County Fair Public Fashion Revue at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Athletic Park. Harvey County 4-H’ers model clothing they’ve made and outfits they’ve put together. The style revue is part of the supporters picnic, which starts earlier that evening. Clothing construction and style review judging took place on July 10.
4. Take extra special care of your eyes
July is Eye Injury Month. Minor particles, such as hair, dust or soap in the eye, can be treated at home. Use lukewarm water to flush out the object. Never use a towel or napkin to wipe an object off the eye — this can cause more serious eye problems. Anything penetrating the eye should be taken care of by a trained professional. Cover the area with a cup and go to an emergency room. If any household chemicals get in contact with the eye, flush with lukewarm water as soon as possible, then seek medical treatment. Bring the name or a sample of the chemical with you. If you aren’t sure, it’s always wiser to seek professional help than to wait for it to get worse.
5. Visit the ‘Pro Football and the American Spirit’ exhibit
