Kauffman Museum is grateful to our community partners who brought vehicles old and new to our recent “Big Wheels” event.

A hearty thanks to Bethel College, Builders Concrete and Supply, Goering Enterprises, J and M Ag Services, the Newton Fire/EMS Department and PET KS.

We are sorry that miscommunication meant Indian Motorcycle of Wichita was not present.

But we enjoyed the afternoon — from climbing the 1955 Kenworth to riding on the hand-cranked PET, to watching the fire department’s aerial platform truck go through its maneuvers.

We invite the public to our next free afternoon — Jan. 30 for Celebrate Kansas Day!
