Morris B. Eck, 52, of Newton, passed away suddenly Tuesday (Nov. 3, 2009) in rural Harvey County.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1957, in Newton, one of four sons born to Otto P. and Edna Mae (Reimer) Eck. He graduated from Remington High School. He was a farmer and stockman, living his entire life in rural Harvey County. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rodney. He is survived by brothers, Russell Eck of Newton and Mitchell Eck of Wichita; sister-in-law, Mary Eck-Petrie of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and nephews, David Eck and Kevin Eck of Fort Wayne. Visitation with family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, and funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, both at Lamb Funeral Home of Whitewater. Memorial funds have been established for the American Heart Association or Gideons International in care of the funeral home.
