Alice Virginia (Reimer) Goerzen, 84, died on Sunday (Jan. 29, 2012) at Bethesda Home in Goessel.
She was born on July 29, 1927, in Goessel to Jacob C. and Agnes (Unruh) Reimer. She married Milton H. Goerzen, who died on Nov. 4, 2010.
Alice was a homemaker and had a deep love for flowers and gardening. She was a member of Tabor Mennonite Church in rural Newton.
Survivors include: two sons, Larry Goerzen and wife, Dora of rural Newton, and Mike Goerzen of rural Newton; two daughters, Jennifer Flaming and husband, Royce of rural Newton, and Shelley Buller and husband, Jon of rural Hillsboro; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Helen Dyck; and one brother, LeRoy Reimer.
Her brother, Elmer Reimer from Loveland, Colo., died later the same day (Jan. 29, 2012). Brother Milferd Reimer and daughter-in-law Tammie Goerzen also preceded her in death.
A private burial will take place today. Alice’s memorial service will be on at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Tabor Mennonite Church, with lunch following.
