 Ellen J. Friesen, 62, passed away Saturday (June 27, 2009) at Hospice House of Reno County in Hutchinson.
She was born on Dec. 11, 1946, in Hutchinson, the daughter of Jacob B. and Marie Regehr Enns.  
She was a member of Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church in Inman and served as the church secretary for 35 years. 
On Aug. 12, 1966, she married Raymond D. Friesen. He survives. 
Other survivors include one son, Shane, and wife, Angie, of Andover; one daughter, Carmen Cuttings and husband, Brian, of Overland Park; eight grandchildren; one brother, Darwin, and wife, Jean Enns, of Martinsburg, W. Va.; two sisters, Lorna Hill, and husband, Jess, of Houston, and Laurene Zimmer and husband, Mark, of Springfield, Mo.; one brother-in-law, Ernie Doerksen of Santa Fe, Texas; and one sister-in-law, Wanda Enns of Kearney, Neb. 
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Jess Enns; and two sisters, Darlene Enns in infancy and Eva Doerksen. 
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church in Inman, with the family greeting friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church, with Pastor Dwight Carter officiating. Burial will be at Zoar Cemetery in Inman.
Memorials may be sent to Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church Awana Program or Zoar Mennonite Brethren Church Women’s Ministry in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 N. Main St., Buhler, KS 67522.
