Gary Lagree of Valley Center, retired Boeing Aircraft functional tester, went for a “Sunday morning meeting in the air” on Sunday (Nov. 15, 2009) at the age of 62.
Gary was born in Newton on Aug. 6, 1947, the son of Lawrence R. and Esther (Kramer) Lagree.
On Jan. 21, 1973, Gary and Lora Pike were united in marriage in Wichita. Together they celebrated 36 years of marriage.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard Lagree.
Survivors include his wife, Lora Lagree of Valley Center; son, Aaron Lagree of Valley Center; sister, Mary Ann Humphrey and her husband Larry of Wichita; along with several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Cornerstone of Wichita funeral home.
Memorial services for Gary will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1415 S. Topeka St. in Wichita.
A private interment will be at a later time.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name and loving memory with Immanuel Baptist Church Music Ministry, 1415 S. Topeka St., Wichita, KS 67211. Contributions can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
