Three join Bethel board

Bethel College will welcome three new members to its Board of Directors at the fall board meeting later this month.

Brent Auernheimer of Reedley, Calif., will represent the Pacific Southwest Conference of Mennonite Church USA. He attended Bethel College and has a doctorate in computer science from the University of California. He chairs the Department of Computer Science/Engineering at California State University, Fresno. He attends First Mennonite Church in Reedley.

Jim Ensz of Beatrice, Neb., is a 1972 Bethel College graduate who is a crop and livestock farmer. His wife, Vicki Hinz-Ensz, and his son, Rodney Hinz-Ensz, also are Bethel graduates. Ensz is a member of First Mennonite Church in Beatrice and is an appointment of Western District Conference of Mennonite Church USA.

The Bethel College Corp. appointed George Rogers III of Newton. He graduated from Bethel College in 1969 and has advanced degrees from Wichita State University and the University of Arkansas. From 1969 through 1998, Rogers served variously as a coach, faculty member, director of athletics and dean of students at Bethel. He is president and CEO of Whitewing Construction Co. in Newton. He lives in Newton with his wife, Rita. They have two children and two grandchildren.
