The 1940s theme of Peabody event

>An unprecedented three-day celebration is scheduled to take place May 24 through 26 in Peabody.

“Operation Celebration: The 1940s” will be a tribute to all Kansas veterans.

With a focus on the men and women who served their country during World War II, the event will include the state’s largest victory parade, several big band and swing concerts, meals, World War II displays and more.

Military servicemen and women are invited to be special guests in the parade, which will be at 4 p.m. May 24.
