The 4th Annual Harvey County Veterans Parade was at 2 p.m. Saturday along Main Street in downtown Newton. The theme for the parade this year was “Honoring our Vietnam Veterans.” The event was sponsored by the Veterans Committee of Harvey County. The committee also sponsored a benefit barbecue dinner in the afternoon at the Kansas Army National Guard Armory in Newton featuring food, live music and a live auction. See more photos on page 8.
