Brad Guhr of Dyck Arboretum of the Plains of Hesston and Linda Schmidt of Brooklyn, N.Y., are silhouetted against a sunset Tuesday at Chase County Fishing Lake. A group from Hesston traveled to the lake as part of a Explore Kansas Prairies outing. The events help educate the public about prairie remnants and restoration areas in the Hesston area. More outings are scheduled for Aug. 7 and 18. The cost is $5.
