Stucky celebrating 100th birthday today

Pine Village resident Dorothy Stucky is celebrating her 100th birthday today.

Pine Village will celebrate her centennial year at 2 p.m. with a reception of cake and ice cream in the Pine Village Chapel.

Dorothy is originally from Newton. She is retired from 30 years with the postal service and 25 years as a church secretary, and enjoys playing bingo and Rummikub. Dorothy has many neat experiences to share, including having tea with First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt at the White House in 1939. Dorothy has four children, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

“Come wish Dorothy a happy birthday!” a news release stated.
