Concert and dinner to benefit Walton Rural Life Center

WALTON —

WALTON — On June 7, a dinner and country, western and bluegrass concert will be at Newton’s Athletic Park band shell to benefit Walton Rural Life Elementary School.

Proceeds from the event will be used to build structures for animals that students at the kindergarten- through fifth- grade elementary school will raise on site as a part of their school curriculum.

Musicians include Mike Leonard, Mike Flavin, Cowboy Jack, the Country Jamboree, Lisa and Larisa, Dan Grotewohl and Irish dancers from the Bethel College Academy of Performing Arts, and headliner Fred Hargrove.

Tickets are $10 each and include a complete barbecue dinner with a choice of two meats.

Dessert is extra. Food will be served from 5:30 to 7 p.m. The show starts at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call Walton Rural Life Center at (866) 837-3161.
