Sight Night’ slated for Halloween<p /><p />

Between 5:30 and 7 p.m. on Halloween, which is Friday, members of the Newton Mid-Day Lions Club will collect used prescription eyeglasses and sunglasses and non-prescription sunglasses in Newton and North Newton neighborhoods.

Eyeglasses that are collected are cleaned, repaired and hand-delivered during optical missions to developing countries.

Those who would like to make an eyeglasses donation and a Lions member does not come to the home may drop the glasses at any of the following locations: Bank of the West, Newton Activity Center, Those Blasted Signs, Asbury Park, Newton Medical Center’s health info management department, Miller Insurance Agency Inc., Hendrickson Chiropractic, Brooke Insurance, Dillons Downtown Pharmacy, Newton Pack ’N Ship, Midland National Bank or Dr. Craig Baier’s office.
