John W. Jost, 55, joined his wife in Heaven on Jan. 25, 2012.
He was a heavy equipment operator for USD 259 for 30 years, was an avid gardener, and loved to “tinker.”
Survivors include sisters, Kay Schmidt of Walton and Teresa Hulvey of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; brothers, Mark Jost of Wichita, Toto Jost of Aspers, Pa., Donald Jost of Newton, and Chris Jost of Lehigh; and multiple nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by father, Lawrence Jost; mother, Bonnie Fritts; and wife, Connie.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Westside Christian Church, 1819 W. Douglas in Wichita. Memorial may be sent to American Cancer Society, 300 S. Main St., Suite 100, Wichita, KS 67202.
