Mandy Elizabeth Scott of Harrisonville, Mo., and Brian Dale Busenitz of Manhattan were married during a 5 p.m. Aug. 12, 2011, ceremony at Hawthorn Bed and Breakfast in Independence.
Pastor Steve Scott officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Treava Lancaster of Harrisonville and the late Bobby Scott. The groom is the son of Elwyn and Barb Busenitz of rural Newton.
The bride was escorted by her brother, Bobby Leroy Scott II.
Maid of honor was Mendy Scott, twin sister of the bride of Harrisonville. Bridesmaids were Jeanette Eagle of Denison; Jenny and Jamie Waller of San Angelo, Texas; and Emily Heitz of St. Joseph, Mo. Bridesmatron was Maranda Taylor of Belton, Mo.
Best man was brother of the groom Kyle Busenitz of Langlois, Ore. Groomsmen were Shane Busenitz of Kansas City, Kan.; Luke Boyenger of El Dorado; Chad Busenitz of Newton; Scott Partridge of Kansas City, Kan.; and Evan Busenitz of Manhattan.
Grandparents are Bill and Dot Wood of Kansas City, Mo., Don and Minnie Scott of Pittsburg, Okla.; and Don and Connie Sims of Harrisonville.
The couple took a wedding trip to Destin, Fla., and they are planning to make their home in Newton.
The bride is a graduate of Adrian High School in Adrian, Mo., and attended Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Mo. She is employed at Rod’s Hallmark Shop in Manhattan.
The groom is a graduate of Berean Academy in Elbing and attended Calvary Bible College in Kansas City, Mo. He is graduating from Kansas State University in Manhattan with a degree in mechanical engineering. He will be employed at AGCO in Hesston.
