The Harvey County Health Department has announced scheduled clinics for the distribution of seasonal and H1N1 flu vaccines.
The department will offer the H1N1 vaccine during not only walk-in clinics at the department’s headquarters, 316 Oak St. in Newton, but also at walk-in clinics at area elementary schools.H1N1 vaccinations, offered free to county residents, will be available from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Sedgwick Elementary and Burrton schools; from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 7 at Bethel College (North Newton) and Hesston College; from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Dec. 8 at McKinley Administrative Center, 308 E. First St. in Newton; and from 3 to 6 p.m. Dec. 11 at Hesston schools.The department will receive seasonal flu vaccine Dec. 1 and be open for seasonal flu and H1N1 vaccinations from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday.Walk-in clinics at the health department will be available during regular office hours Wednesday, Friday, and Dec. 9, 10, 15, 16 and 18. There is no cost for the H1N1 vaccine.
