Rhoades receives award from mental health agency

Kansas Rep. Marc Rhoades, R-Newton, was given an Outstanding Public Official Award from the Association of Community Mental Health Centers of Kansas Inc.

He received the award for his support of the public mental health system during the 2009 Legislature.

The award was presented at the 30th-annual conference of the association in Wichita.

The Association of Community Mental Health Centers of Kansas represents the 27 licensed Community Mental Health Centers in Kansas that provide home- and community-based, as well as outpatient, mental- health services in all 105 counties in Kansas.
