Hesston Prestige Printing expands services portfolio

HESSTON — Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc. (Konica Minolta), a provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, announced Hesston Prestige Printing in Hesston has enhanced and expanded its print operations with the bizhub PRESS C7000 Color Digital Press from Konica Minolta.
“Leveraging fast output speeds and vivid color output, Hesston has not only broadened its services portfolio with Konica Minolta’s newest color digital press, but also realized time and cost savings across the entire organization,” a news release stated.
As part of an initiative to offer yearbook printing to schools in Kansas and surrounding areas, Hesston chose to expand their current print fleet to include a digital press that would deliver fast, high-quality output with a variety of finishing options.
A current Konica Minolta customer, Hesston determined the bizhub PRESS C7000 would be the best and most reliable solution. The recently launched digital press allows Hesston to offer yearbook printing with higher quality at a more reasonable price, while also improving their overall productivity with enhanced stock and speed capabilities, a news release stated.
Additionally, Hesston selected Konica Minolta’s custom-designed IC-601 Internal Print Controller to bring powerful workflow benefits including 1,200 dpi printing at full rated engine speed, high-speed RIP processing and color management functions, such as job control, editing and remote operation capabilities.
“Konica Minolta has been a reliable provider for us for many years as a result of their ability to meet our customers’ ever-changing needs, making them a natural fit for delivering a production print system that would accommodate our growing portfolio,” Norman Critchfield, managing partner with Hesston Prestige Printing, said in a news release. “With the addition of the bizhub PRESS C7000 to our product portfolio, we are now able to offer more printing capabilities to new and existing customers, and also improve the overall productivity of our business operations with a faster and lower cost digital press.”
“As one of the early adopters of the new bizhub PRESS C7000, Hesston Prestige Printing is a great example of how this new product line can enhance overall production capabilities for print houses of all sizes,” Kevin Kern, senior vice president marketing, Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A. Inc., said in a news release. “Our customers can count on Konica Minolta for the most innovative and industry-leading technologies that allow them to take their printing operations to the next level.”

Kansas Masonic Home names new chief executive officer

WICHITA — The board of directors of Kansas Masonic Home recently announced Matthew Bogner, administrator of the KMH Health Care Pavilion, has been named chief executive officer, effective immediately. Bogner joined KMH in 2008.
Replacing Bogner as Pavilion administrator is Cole McKinney, previously KMH director of Independent and Assisted Living (Manor and Towers). Before joining the Kansas Masonic Home, McKinney was household coordinator and administrator for Meadowlark Hills in Manhattan.
Bogner succeeds Shawn Sullivan, who resigned as executive director in January after being tapped by Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback to serve as secretary of the Kansas Department on Aging, www.agingkansas.org.
“Matthew enjoys the full confidence and support of the board,” KMH board president T. Michael Fegan said in a news release. “His experience at KMH makes him uniquely qualified to lead as we continue to physically redesign our campus and expand our existing services, while maintaining our focus on extraordinary care.”
Bogner will oversee the operations of the KMH senior living community and will continue to advance its mission and vision. The 115-year-old non-profit is home to more than 240 residents in independent living, assisted living and full health care.
KMH has been preparing for an extensive and innovative remodel that will impact the three residential living areas on the 14-acre campus, a news release stated.
“Kansas Masonic Home has been on an exciting journey the last few years,” Bogner said. “I am delighted to accept the position of CEO as we move forward with our plans — to continue transforming KMH with person-centered values and practices.”
Prior to joining KMH, Bogner was administrator at Presbyterian Manor of Newton. He also has served at the Sedgwick County Health Department and the Via Christi Health System.
Bogner earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s in public health from Wichita State University. He has completed leadership fellowships with the Kansas Association of Homes and Services for the Aging and the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (now Leading Age).
Fegan saluted outgoing interim director, John Wells, who retired in 2005 after 19 years as president of Larksfield Place. Wells led KMH as interim executive director during the search for a long-term leader.
“John put his personal and business life on hold during a time of great challenge for KMH,” Fegan said. “We needed an experienced and steady hand to guide the KMH team, and John delivered.”
