Goshen College recently recognized 219 students, including four Newton area students, for excellence in academics, on the 2010-11 spring semester dean’s list.
Martin L. Hofkamp, son of Becky and Jim Nickel of Peabody, is a sophomore with an interdisciplinary major. He is a 2010 graduate of Peabody High School and attends Zion Mennonite Church.
Ruth Mary Wiens, daughter of Timothy Wiens of Newton, is a junior studying physics. She is a 2008 graduate of Newton High School and attends First Mennonite Church.
Laurel Mae Woodward, daughter of Donald Woodward and Joan Schrock-Woodward of North Newton, is a junior studying art. She is a 2009 graduate of Newton High School and attends Shalom Mennonite Church.
Isaac John Yoder-Schrock, son of John and Marcia Yoder-Schrock of Newton, is a senior studying physics. He is a 2008 graduate of Moundridge High School and attends West Zion Mennonite Church.
The Dean’s List includes students earning at least a 3.75 GPA, while completing at least 12 hours of course work for a letter grade.
