Lee Estus of Canton was driving a cement truck owned by Builder’s Concrete westbound on U.S. Highway 50 at 1:40 p.m. Monday when a blown tire caused him to lose control of the truck. The truck skidded across the highway and went into the south ditch about 3/4 of a mile east of Hertzler Road. The truck rolled at least one time before coming to rest. Estus, 27, was taken to Newton Medical Center following the accident. A condition report was not available. Estus was wearing a seat belt. Reporting to the scene of the accident were the Kansas Highway Patrol, Harvey County Sheriff’s Department and Halstead Fire and EMS.
