Baldwins to be honored for 50 years of marriage

Robert and Linda Baldwin of Moundridge will be honored for their 50th wedding anniversary with an informal reception at 6 p.m. Oct. 22 at Camp Hawk, Newton.

Robert Baldwin and Linda Strain were married on Oct. 11, 1961, at the home of John and Marjorie Strain in Newton.

Since that time, they mostly have resided in Moundridge.

Robert retired from AGCO in Hesston with 44 years of service. Linda retired from Albert’s Heating & Plumbing in McPherson with 12 years of service.

Hosting the event will be their children and their spouses: Julie Baldwin of Chanute; John and Lisa Baldwin of Plains; and Larry Baldwin of Moundridge.

The couple has six grandchildren.

Robert spent three and one-half years in the U.S. Navy Seabees upon graduation. Linda enjoys crafting, gardening and taking care of her family. The couple enjoys camping, fishing, traveling and especially chasing grandkids.
