City commission to discuss license

The Newton City Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the commission room at City Hall, 201 E. Sixth St.

Agenda items will include the reorganization of the commission and selection of mayor and vice-mayor, a recommendation for the suspension or revocation of a Class A Club license due to violations of the Newton City Code and the Kansas Liquor Control Act, receipt of a Justice Assistance Grant application, and a resolution consenting to the dissolution of Public Wholesale Water Supply District No. 10.

Prior to the meeting, the commission will have at work session from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at City Hall to discuss future agenda items.
