70-mile Toy Run set for Sunday

ABATE of Harvey County is sponsoring a toy run starting at 9 a.m Sunday at Halstead High School. The first bike will leave at 11 a.m., and the last bike will leave at noon.

The 70-mile run will take bikers throughout the county.

There will be a chili-feed after the run. The run is estimated to arrive in Newton at about 12:30 p.m. It will go from U.S. Highway 50 down 12th Street to Meridian Road to U.S. 50.

All riders must donate money or a toy for a child ages 12 to 18.

Donations will be given to children in each town.
