McPHERSON — The Bethel College men’s basketball team is on a three-game winning streak after a 94-70 win over Dallas Christian Saturday afternoon at the McPherson Classic.

Down by six in the first five minutes of play, the Threshers made a 16-2 run. Bethel pushed its lead to 13 at the end of the half, 45-32.

The Threshers continued to push ahead in the second half, making an 22-4 run in the first seven minutes of the period. Dallas Christian managed to cut the Bethel lead from 32 to 16 with 3:26 remaining, but the Threshers closed out the game on an 11-3 run.

Dakota Foster led a cadre of four Bethel players in double figures with 19 points. Freshman Miki Zewge scored 15 points off the bench. Terrell Marshall scored 14 points. Freshman Jaylon Scott came off the bench to score 13 points.

Bethel held a 61-39 rebounding advantage led by Poe Bryant and Zewge with eight each. Bethel hit 43 of 87 from the field (49.4 percent), while DCC hit 22 of 73 from the field (30.1 percent).

Bethel had 21 assists, led by Marshall with eight.

The Crusaders were led by Kel Williams and Devin Cubit with 11 points each.

Dallas Christian is a National Christian College Athletic Association Division I school that falls to 0-3.

Bethel is 3-1 and is off until 8 p.m. Nov. 14, when the Threshers open KCAC play in Leavenworth against 0-3 Saint Mary.
