The bell is ringing to call all children back to school for another year. But will those kids be safe in their learning environment? I've read about some schools getting the A.L.I.C.E. training; great, but is that enough and is it expensive?

The National Rifle Association has a program to protect children at school call NRA School Shield program. Expert assistance is free due to generous donations to the NRA Foundation. For six years schools nationwide have received NRA School Shield grants for effective security solutions.

All those who vilify the NRA because they defend a person's natural right to defend himself might want to reconsider and check out the NRA School Shield program at nationalschoolshield.org. Anyone can go to the web site for more info.

There are good, strong ways to keep our precious children safe and sound while they learn.
