Though it's been moved back a week this spring, there is still a serious treat in store, as the "Ain't No Joke" food truck rally returns to Newton this weekend. Here are three things to take advantage of at this year's event:

Get a taste of some exotic fare

Several Wichita food trucks will be making the trek to Newton for the food truck rally on Main Street (between Fifth and Sixth streets) this Sunday, including the Big Apple NY Street Food Truck, Brown Box Bakery, B.S. Sandwich Press, The Flying Stove, Funky Monkey Munchies, The Kamayan Truck, LoLo's Crepes, Noble House Hawaiian Plate Lunch, U Hungry Food Truck, Uno Mas and Urban Skillet.

Attendees to the food truck rally will be able to try some unique and creative offerings from several of those trucks, including the traditional Hawaiian dish of poké (a raw fish salad, often using tuna) served up by Noble House, the culinary mash-ups put forward by the likes of Funky Monkey Munchies (i.e. crab rangoon tacos), inventive cupcake confections (like a Root Beer Float variety) from Brown Box Bakery and much more.

Eat local

Newton residents and others from the area will see some familiar food trucks in attendance at the rally as well, like LeJ's Barbecue, Twisted Joes on the Go (serving up its own unique versions of sloppy joes) and Salted Creamery, meaning there will be food to please a variety of palates on Sunday.

Let them entertain you

If the food wasn't enough, there will be music to enjoy as well, with DJ Carl Edwards scheduled to perform at the event on Sunday.
