Bethel was led by Parker Austin at 149. His second-round score of 72 set an individual course record for the Threshers.

Connor Mickens tied for 44th at 165, followed by Sam Bertholf tied for 46th at 166. Chase Sparks and Chase Anderson each tied for 55th at 171.

Bethel was in 11th after the first round at 334, but moved up three spots on the second day at 314. Four of Bethel’s five players improved their scores Tuesday.

"Parker played real well today and almost worked his way into the top five,” Bethel coach Gregg Dick said. "I'm very proud of the way the team rebounded from a disappointing first round score."

Bethel competes at the first KCAC meet of the season Monday and Tuesday at the Crestview Country Club in Wichita. Scores from that meet carry over into the KCAC Championships at the end of the season.
