Berean Academy had three students that auditioned and were selected to participate in the KMEA All-State Choir February 22 thorugh 24 at Century II in Wichita.

Jordan Weaver, a senior, is the son of Dan and Kristi Weaver of Hesston, Caitlyn Rohaus, a senior, is the daughter of Casey and Kristi Rohaus of Kechi  and Lauren Bender, an eighth grader, is the daughter of Ted and Amy Bender of Valley Center.

Senior high students are selected via an audition process that starts at the district level. Students with the top audition scores who perform at the district level are then eligible for selection to the All-State Choir.

Berean Academy students Shannon Busenitz, Grace Neal and Darin Stephens were selected to participate in the KMEA State Band and Orchestra at Century II. 

To be selected for this the students auditioned for District in November and performed concerts at Wichita East in December.  The District students could then audition for the State Band and Orchestra in Salina.

Grace Neal is the daughter of Troy and Sara Dawson of Cedar Point, Shannon Busenitz is the daughter of Russel and Wanita Busenitz of Peabody and Darin Stephens is the son of Brad and Shirley Stephens of Newton.
