Non-League

Moundridge 60, Can-Gal. 26

MOUNDRIDGE — The Moundridge Wildcat boys downed rival Canton-Galva 60-26 Friday in non-league play in Moundridge.

The Wildcats led 37-15 at the half.

“We shot the ball well early and forced turnovers against a young CG team tonight,” Moundridge coach Vance Unrau said. “They are well coached and played hard but our defensive pressure gave us opportunities for transition looks and we hit the glass really well too. Thirteen offensive boards gave us second chance opportunities.

“We shared the ball really well again tonight and got a lot of guys involved. These guys have played hard all year and continue to give great effort. Go on the road Tuesday for our final regular season game vs a very athletic Solomon team. We need to continue to get better as we enter the post season.”

Noah Eichelberger led Moundridge with 23 points. Dillon Vogts scored 15.

Kinser Colgin scored seven points to lead Canton-Galva.

Moundridge is 11-8 and plays Tuesday at Solomon.
