Bethel signs

softball player

Bethel College softball coach David Middleton signed Tessa Wadley of Moore, Okla., to a letter of intent to play with the Threshers beginning in the 2016-17 school year.

Wadley is a utility player for Southmoore High School. She also played with the Fastpitch Futures club team.

Wadley played her freshman season at Wichita Heights. She played in the 2013 Missouri-Kansas All-Star Games.

Southmoore was 17-14 this season, 7-7 in district play. The team won the Class 6A state title in 2016.

"I am super excited to come play at Bethel,” Wadley said. "It has been my number one choice since I've learned about the program my freshman year in 2013. I cannot explain how blessed I am to also be playing the sport I love for the school."

"We are very excited to sign Tessa,” Middleton said. “She will bring solid fundamentals and a positive attitude for our team. She possesses good power at the plate and versatility in the infield. Tessa is also joining the National Guard, so she will bring great discipline and leadership skills to add to our overall team chemistry."

Wadley intends to major in physical therapy at Bethel.
